Is ‘diversity’ pushing out whites?
6th June
I came across this brilliant yet quite concise article explaining that whites are not be pushed out of the world or atleast the UK from ethnic diversity.
The Telegraph newspaper, a very pro-Conservative party supporter, has followed its conservative and tradional ways by writing an article on how white people are basically not being treated unfairly because the BBC somehow ‘favours’ ethnic people when they apply for jobs/apprenticeships. The New Stateman political magazine has wrote its own article highlighting the Telegraph is wrong to suggest white people are now being discriminated against. And I agree—people need to look at the bigger picture and realise racism does occur and disadvantaged people need to be given chances like the advantaged people get!

Totally agree . Racism occurs on both sides & most people don’t see it . & if they do , they favor one side . I suppose no matter how hard society tries , there’s no evening the playing field . By the way , I love your layout (:

This is a topic that I maybe have too much interest in, also I’m Asian at a US university.
Here, we have this thing that schools do called “affirmative action”, trying to take students with a more diverse background. However, the result is that students who are not very qualified from a diverse background are getting in for their background and not their merits. Since Asian Americans are generally overrepresented, Asians have to do 50% better than whites (I read this somewhere, should be doubled-checked) in order to be viewed the same way.
I guess I’d have to say that all of this stuff is racist. To me, the people that should be given an easier time in admissions and hiring are those with poor economic background, no matter what race they should be.
